Conference on Korea's Nation Brand:From a perspective as a Foreign Student studying in Korea

The Conference on Korea's National Brand dealing with "How the G-20 Seoul Summit and the issue of North Korea's hereditary power succession affect South Korea's National brand" yesterday at Hilton Hotel ,Seoul was attended by Prominent Experts from different Nations,Some eminent Professors in Korea, some Members of The Presidential Council and some Foreign students in Korea at different Universities.This Conference was a privilege for me to know the various aspects of Korea in the International society and its growing importance.But Inspite of its growing importance how the brand value of Korea has been affected in few years is always been an important issue to be discussed.Though short but the highly informative discussions and presentation in the Conference provided me a broader perspective about the impact of the G-20 and its Geopolitical impact on Korean Peninsula.

The Conference was a good opportunity for the foreign students in Korea especially to know Korea and its brand image in an organised manner.The first presenter who highlighted that How Korea has changed in the past few decades was an interesting story.The pictures through the slides made me realise once again that this Country has really changed itself like a Miracle i.e The Miracle of Han River.The American speaker highlighting the role of Korean Business Chaebols too was an interesting discussion.Moreover an Expert who said some interesting story about how some People are still get confused when it comes to Korea in distinguishing with the North Korea was also a very important thing to noted out as I personally have felt it even in India too.

The Conference was held at Hilton Hotel Seoul.

G-20 Seoul Summit Korea is the First Country in Asia to host this summit.

In a misguided attempt to help multiethnic families and their children and to bolster falling birthrates, the Korean government took another small but important step towards reverse ethnic discrimination both as a means to aid multiethnic children as well as encourage more multiethnic unions. According to reports, all "multicultural" children regardless of income will enjoy free daycare services from the government starting next year, the government announced Thursday. About 28,000 multicultural children are expected to benefit. Children between birth and age five will be eligible and under the program, parents will receive a state subsidy to enroll their multicultural child in daycare centers.
