University festival Culture in Korea In The University festival in Korea mainly two types of events are organised: 1) Main stage performances where students from different departments of the University and some famous celebrities from Korea takes part as Singers and Dancers. 2)The second event is organised by making tents(where beer,wine and different kinds of drinks are sold by the volunteer students of the activity clubs inside the university campus(usually beside the main stage).The students drink wine and enjoy the cultural events with their friends. This was my first time to attend a University Festival in Korea, organized by the Wonkwang University (Jeolldo, Iksan) Students. I enjoyed a lot with my Korean friends as well as (NIIED) scholars from different parts of the world. Fan Dance in Korea: an awesome piece of dance This is one of the most famous dance of Korea which is performed with colorful fans.fan dance is believed to be originated during Joseon dynasty court dances and remains a popular form of traditional Korean dance. I got this golden opportunity to see fan dance for the first time when I was pursuing my Bachelors in Korean studies from JNU , New Delhi at the ocasion of Hangeul Day celebration by the Korean Department.After that I saw fan dance many times in Korea too and appreciated its aesthetic grace and beauty.This dance is done by females.Don't forget to see this beautiful dance if you get this opportunity.

A team of civil nuclear experts from India is in South Korea to explore avenues of “broad-based cooperation” in the sensitive domain, according to diplomatic sources.Experts from the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre and the Nuclear Power Corporation of India are attending a two-day professional workshop in Seoul.The event is focussed on the entire civil nuclear spectrum ranging from research to operational safety. 한국의 맛과 멋 여러분 안녕하십니까 ? 저는 아주 큰 기대를 가지고 2009 년 정부 초청 장학생으로 인도에서 온 ‘선저이’라고 합니다 . 저는 전라북도 익산시에 있는 원광대학교에서 한국말을 공부하고 있는 학생입니다 . 저는 처음 한국에 공부하러 왔고 경험이 적어 한국에 대해서 많이 알지 못합니다 . 하지만 , 작은 경험이지만 이 자리를 빌어 한국의 아름다움에 대해 느끼는 몇 가지의 소감을 말씀드리고자 합니다 . 제가 여기서 배운 한국말 중에 ‘작은 고추가 맵다’ 라는 재미있는 말이 있습니다 . 저는 처음에 그 말이 무슨 뜻인지 이해를 못했습니다 . 그저 큰 고추는 싱겁고 작은 고추는 매운 것 인가보다 라고 생각했지만 , 한국 사람들의 이야기를 들어보면 단순히 그런 뜻만 있는 것은 아닌 것 같았습니다 . 하지만 한국에 사는 시간이 길어지면서 조금은 그 뜻이 이해되기 시작했습니다 . 사실 내 고향땅 인도는 한국에 비해 매우 큽니다 . 한국은 거기에 비해 매우 작은 나라입니다 . 내 고향에는 자랑할 만한 많은 문화유산과 자연들이 있습니다 . 그리고 긴 역사도 있습니다 . 그런데 , 한국 땅에 와서 저는 한국이 매우 좋아지기 시작했습니다 . 왠지 모르게 한국은 사람을 끌어당기는 매력이 가득 찬 곳이라고 느껴지기 시작했습니다 . 작은 땅이라서 그런지 서로 오순도순 재미있게 살아가는 모습이 정겹게 보입니다 . 처음은 어색하였던 ‘나’라는 말 대신에 ‘우리’ 라는 말을 쓰기 좋아하는 한국인들의 감정에 저 자신도 빠져들어 갑니다 . 넓고 큰 인도라는 곳에서 느끼는 담백함보다 작지만 서로 부대끼며 살아가는 한국의 진한 ‘그 무엇’이 한국의 맛이 아닐까 생각합니다 . ‘맛’은 ‘멋’으로 통한다고 합니다 . 제가 좋아하는 한국 음식중 ‘비빔밥’은 바로 한국의 멋을 대변하는 한국의 ...
