Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) journalist and accomplished writer, Kim Jong-soo, has been bestowed with the prestigious ‘Global Clean Environment Awards 2023’ in recognition of his remarkable contributions to the media and entertainment industry while advocating for environmental preservation.

Kim’s insightful coverage of the "30 years of the Seoksan dispute" garnered significant attention.

The Seoksan dispute, a matter of environmental concern that spans three decades, has been brought to the forefront through Kim's in-depth analysis, highlighting its profound implications for the planet.

An esteemed panel of media experts extensively evaluated Kim's dedication to monitoring and safeguarding the environment, leading to his selection as the first-ever recipient from the entertainment and media category.

The ‘Global Clean Environment Awards’ is an annual accolade presented by the International Clean Environment Movement (ICEMH) Headquarters, headquartered in Seoul.

The organization, established in 2019, operates as a non-profit environmental entity, ardently advocating for "Coexistence on humanity, environment, and businesses."

"I have more responsibilities now onwards to bestow this esteemed award,” said Kim.

"It is truly humbling to be recognized for something I am deeply passionate about. I believe that through responsible and insightful reporting, we can inspire positive change and foster a deeper understanding of the importance of environmental conservation," Kim remarked.

Kim's pioneering efforts in using his media influence for the greater good are a testament to the power of journalism in creating a positive impact on environmental issues.

As the world continues to grapple with environmental challenges, it is personalities like Kim who stand as beacons of hope, inspiring others to join the global movement for a cleaner and greener future.
